From Matthew Rorick's high altitude vineyard in Calaveras County in the Sierra Foothills. Schist over limestone soils at 2000 feet. Zin, Trousseau Noir & Mondeuse, this is a bright, alpine, sweater-weather treasure with party fruit, gentle tannins, and easy acidity that make this dangerously gulpable. Hand-picked, spontaneous ferment, no new oak, and no additions other than a little S02. So happy to have this back in a new vintage after we chugged the last one.
