Pinot Gris from Glen Oaks Ranch, which is now part of the Sonoma Land Trust. The vineyard grows mostly old vine Cabernet, but Pinot Gris is planted near the bottom of the hillside as it likes the cooler micro-climate there on clay loam soils. Grapes are picked early to preserve acidity, and foot crushed over 3 days for texture and colour. Wild yeast ferment, aged in neutral wood.
Melon, stone fruit, lime leaf! Really one of the best skin contact wines I've had in a looooong time!
